Notary Public
The New Zealand Society of Notaries describes a Notary Public as “a lawyer authorised by the Archbishop of Canterbury in England to officially witness signatures on legal documents, collect sworn statements, administer oaths and certify the authenticity of legal documents usually for use overseas”
Notary services are available at our office with our Notary Public, Nicolene Du Toit, who can assist you with:
- Taking of affidavits and declarations
- Certify as to the authenticity of documents for use overseas
- Certify that a copy of a document which you don't want to send overseas, is a true copy of an original produced, for example a passport or drivers licence.
